The design of a database management system is based on its architecture. Database architecture means policy, rules and its standard. Architecture controls how to store data and how to use it.
There are three types of database architecture
1. one tier

One tier architecture
It also known as client site architecture. It consists of a computer, a server, a server with a database and a presentation of the database, which we call one tier architecture.
It consists of two computers. On one computer there is a database and on another computer we look at the data, which does not have a database. It is called client-side data. And the database that contains it is called server-side. This architecture is an important architecture. There is fast communication in it. The client side computer can communicate directly with the server side computer. There is open connectivity of the database. In college or organization, two-tier architecture is used.
Three Tier Architecture
This architecture is used for web applications. There is a requirement of internet to use this application. It consists of three parts, first client application, second application services, and third data database server. For example, if a person registers on Twitter, it is through a web application, which is called external level or view label. After this, our data goes to the web server, which contains the application, it is also called conceptual view or logical. Data is saved from the web server to the database server, which is called internal label. Which is a three tier architecture.
Why do we use databases?
Earlier people used to manually book any information or account. Which was done through paper and diary? But nowadays we save the data electronically. Electronic means computer save data from digital diary and mobile phone. Already, database management system has become very fast. In this, you can store the data in a short time, can see the data.
Database schema: It defines database design. We refer to database description as database schema. Schema defines how the database is organized, how the relationship is created and how it is associated. For example, student details store the database in me. According to the roll number of the student, all his information is saved in the database. The rail roll number of the student is associated with all his information. It is possible through schema.
Database schema has three parts.
It is designed on the view label. The user can interact with the database and view the data that the view labels schema

In physical schema, data bytes are stored in gigabytes, Tera bytes and higher storage devices. It is hidden from the user or the programmer.
There are four operations of the database.
we know that a database is made up by mixing many tables. Each table contains related data. If we have to insert the data in the table, then we insert the data by insert operations. Just like there is a school, there are student teachers and other employees in the school. We consider school as a database; we consider student teacher and other employee as a table. In the student table, we insert the data by giving the name, roll number, course, address, mobile number, and field.
if we have to see the data from the table, then we can see the data by that select command or operation.
To delete data in a table, we use the delete operation.
if you want to update the data of a table, or change something in it, we can change that data by applying update operation.

Hierarchical Data Base Model
What this model tree structure looks like. In this model, the tree structure is followed to make the records interrelated. The tree has both nodes and branches. There are many entities in this model. But the parent entity is the only one who routes it. And the root has many nodes and branches.
Entity Relationship Model
This model was developed by Peter Chen. It was developed to design databases.
Through this model, the relationship between two entities is represented graphically. We call the entity relationship model the ER model. All Entities in this database are linked. And are in relationship to each other. Entity here means table name. And attitude means field name. For example, in a student table (Entity), the roll number is the student name s attributes.
Entity relationships have four types of relationships.
1. One to one relationship
2. One to many relationship
3. Many to one relationship
4. Many to many relationships
This model was 1969 delivered by the airport. In the relational model, data is stored in tables. And there is a relation between many tables, which we call relational model. The table has rows and columns.
The network model is built on the basis of the hyperlink key. This creates multiple relationships. In the network model, the gender of each other is similar to the hierarchical model. And this creates a relationship. In this, each node can be accessed from different paths.
